Deborah Kravitz
Biography
I was born in New York City in 1951. My family moved to a number of different locations on the northeast coast. I attended The School of the Museum of Fine Art and Tufts University where I received a bachelor of Fine Art Degree.
Artist Statement
Images from myths emanate from powerful constellations of thought and feelings in our unconscious minds. The poetic richness of legends and sacred art creates a resonance in me. My imagery has evolved out of a marriage of the sensibility of myth and the feelings that race through my unconscious. My landscapes are all imaginary worlds within me.
