The 19th century fisherman schooners of Cape Ann and New England serve as the enduring maritime inspiration for artist/conservator Peter Williams. In the summer, spring and fall he can often be found painting en plein air at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum in Essex Massachusetts or in the surrounding Cape Ann neighborhoods.
When the climate is more severe he may be practicing still life painting or managing his famous painting conservation business at Fenway Studios in Boston.
His painting teachers include the late Robert Cormier, David Curtis, and Tom Ouellette, with whom he has studying for the last 10 years.
He is an artist member of the North Shore Art Association.
